My pedagogical style focuses heavily on collaboration, as well as Feminism and Popular Culture pedagogies within the Composition I classroom. Here are some of the best examples of different pedagogies I admire and aim to achieve.

Collaborative Pedagogy

I strongly believe in the collaborative approach to Composition, as a way to get students more involved and engaged.

Feminist Pedagogy

Fourth wave feminism is alive and well in the college classroom. I pride myself on being an instructor that integrates feminism and feminist pedagogy in my classroom, even if that means dealing with a certain level of resistance.

Popular Culture Pedagogy

I use a great deal of popular culture in my classes--this is due to the fact that I believe students are more likely to become invested when they are interested in the subject matter and discourse. I believe Pop Culture has a growing place within the Composition classroom, even if most instructors do not agree.
