Assistant Director of the Writing Center, Oklahoma State University
I plan, organize, and train new Graduate Teaching Assistants during Writing Center orientation. Along with that, I assist in the hiring and interviewing of new staff. I also oversee, schedule, and create presentations and writing workshops for the Graduate College at Oklahoma State. Lastly, I helped transition learning, tutoring, and presentation materials online for easier access during 2020 pandemic and help manage writing center staff.
Graduate Teaching Apprentice, Oklahoma State University
I have taught various sections of Composition 1, Composition 2, and Introduction to Creative Writing both in person and virtually throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. I also work in the writing center on campus, specifically with other graduate students, and give workshop presentations for the Graduate College and Honors College at OSU.
Teaching Assistant, University of Texas at San Antonio
I spent three semesters as a TA for a composition II class that focused on the quantitative approach to literacy. I would grade papers, give various lectures throughout the semester, and help students with their research.
Writing Tutor, University of Texas San Antonio
I worked at the writing center, helping writers from all disciplines and course levels with a plethora of assignments. I helped multilingual and native English speakers, first semester freshmen and dissertations for Ph. D. students, all working to become better writers.
