Hi There! I’m Sara Gilbert

I'm a fourth year Creative Writing Ph. D. student focusing on Fiction and 19th Century Literature at Oklahoma State University. I was born in Baltimore, Maryland, but have lived all over the country before settling in San Antonio, Texas for fifteen years. I have been an avid reader my whole life, but it never dawned on me to make it into a career until sophomore year of my undergraduate degree, when I took my first Shakespeare class. Since then, I've gotten two master's degrees (an MA and an MFA), studied abroad twice, and written two novel manuscripts. Now, I'm dedicated to my writing, my students, and helping others write as best they can.
